This year, the international rating agency Fitch Ratings upgraded the Lipetsk Oblast's long-term foreign and local currency rating from "BB" to "BB +" with a "Stable" outlook. The assigned credit ratings are supported by high liquidity indicators of the region and balanced management of finances and debt.

The region's industry demonstrates growth rates above the national average. The Industrial Production Index (IPI) amounted to 102.9%, (RF - 101.8%). Industrial products worth 479 billion rubles have been shipped; the growth to the corresponding period of the previous year was 107.3%. Until the end of the year, the volume of shipped products will be 650 billion rubles. with an increase of 107%.
